Bludgeon: Supreme Court of Justice of Honduras declares a law prohibiting the use, sale, purchase and distribution of Emergency Contraception (EC) constitutional

In Case Atala Riffo and daughters v. Chile the Supreme Court of Justice of Honduras declares a law prohibiting the use, sale, purchase and distribution of Emergency Contraception (EC) constitutional because it is necessary to protect unborn life. The Court holds that international treaties do not recognize reproductive rights and they only recognize a right to family planning that is not affected by the prohibtion of EC. (Honduras, Supreme Court of Justice, 2012-02-01)
